Lee Ann Bloss Christensen, 56, of Versailles, wife of Charles M. Christensen, died Monday, April 7, 2014.

Born in Paris, Ky., she was the daughter of Margaret Russell Bloss of Louisville and the late Frank Morris Bloss. She obtained an MS in social work from the University of Kentucky and had worked for the Kentucky Department of Human Resources. She was an active member of the Versailles Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Katherine (Kyra Lankford) Christensen and Margaret Christensen, Lexington; a stepson, Alex Barrett (Sara) Christensen, Lexington; a grandson, William Barrett Christensen, Lexington; a sister, Elizabeth (Rick Bird) Bloss, Louisville; three nephews; and a niece.

Visitation will be after 11 a.m. today, Thursday, April 10, at the Versailles Presbyterian Church followed by a celebration of life service at noon with the Rev. Melissa Sevier officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow services in the church fellowship hall.

Memorials are suggested to the Versailles Presbyterian Church, 130 N. Main St., Versailles, KY, or to a charity of oneís choice.

Dorothy M. Gillespie, 81, of Versailles, died Thursday, April 3, 2014.

A native of Versailles, she was born Dec. 8, 1932, the daughter of the late John and Lily Mae Richardson Boyd. She was a clerk for A&P and a member of Grace Fellowship of Midway.

Survivors include a son, Clifton (Jeannine) Gillespie, Versailles; two sisters, Shirley Crigger, Versailles, and Louise Adams, Maryland; six grandchildren, Megan (Brad) Story, Jennifer (Jason) Swartz, Rebecca Gillespie, Samantha Gillespie, Angela Webb, and John Thomas Gillespie; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was conducted Tuesday, April 8, at Rose Crest Cemetery by Pastor Teresa Howerton. Casket bearers were Brad Story, Jason Swartz, Ethan Gillespie, Gary Adams, Denny Preshoot, and Sam Williams. Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, was in charge of arrangements.

Cliff Edward Lainhart, 54, of Versailles, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at his home.

Born in Richmond, he was the son of Clifford and Louise Smith Lainhart of Versailles. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church and an employee of Woodford Feed for 30 years.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Rachel (Chris) Roberts, Midway, and Heather (John) Anglin, Frankfort; a brother, Larry Joe (Carol) Lainhart, Versailles; and two granddaughters, Christina and Jessica Roberts.

Services were conducted Monday, April 7, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by the Rev. Frank Layne. Burial was in Rose Crest Cemetery. Casket bearers were Chris Roberts, John Anglin, Larry Lainhart, Bob Mac Cleveland, Clifton Weber, and Anthony Wright.

Henry A. Terry, 89, of Versailles, husband of Viola Walton Terry, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lexington.

Born in Oklahoma, he was the son of the late John William and Chesney Hines Richardson Terry. He was a retired tool maker for Texas Instruments, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Cross Pointe Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David Terry, Lexington, and Steve Terry, Versailles; four grandchildren, Jacob Terry, Casey Terry, Mary Wagner, and Heather Boone; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. Five sisters, Lois Fern York, Maude McFarland, Dell Russell, Anna Sue Russell, and Maggie Viola Terry, and five brothers, Pierce Terry, George P. Terry, Marshall Terry, Fred Terry, and J. W. Terry, are deceased.

Services were conducted Wednesday, April 9, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by Bro. Charles McKinley, Pastor Bryan Roberts, and Chaplain James Rayborn. Military honors and burial were at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Casket bearers were Jeff Martin, Michael Walton, Scott Sorrell, Gary Sorrell, Lewis Walton, and Walter McFarland.

Billy C. Johnson, 82, of Cynthiana, died Saturday, April 5, 2014.

Born Aug. 14, 1931, in Woodford County, he was the son of the late Broadus and Ethel Sutherland Johnson. He was a draftsman for Kawneer, a member of Glenís Creek Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Survivors include a sister, Frances Dodson; a niece, Dede Wyatt; a great-niece, Mary Morgan; a great-nephew, Bill Wyatt; and a great-great-niece, Isabella Morgan, all of Lexington.

Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, April 9, at the Versailles Cemetery.

Lida Duncan Spencer, 85, of Midway, widow of Charles Spencer, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014.

Born Aug. 8, 1928, in Georgetown, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lutie Ockerman Duncan. She was a member of Harmony Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Ann Jackson, Georgetown; four sons, Leslie (Faye) Spencer and William (Janie) Spencer, both of Versailles, Charles (Julia) Spencer, Virginia, and Stacy (Martha) Spencer, Georgetown; two sisters, Viola (James) Flora, Frankfort, and Betty Hall, Lexington; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. Two sisters, Hallie Crocker and Hazel McGaughy, and four brothers, Leslie Duncan, Joseph Duncan, Howard Duncan, and Emmitt Duncan, are deceased.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, April 11, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill. Burial will follow in the Midway Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Steven Spencer, Robbie Spencer, Greg Spencer, Matthew Spencer, Tim Berry, and Ray Stratton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, April 10, at the funeral Home.

Linda Young, 67, of Versailles, died Saturday, April 5, 2014.

Born May 18, 1946, in Hamilton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Wanda Kimbrell Young.

Survivors include a son, Jeff Young, Midway; a daughter, Jenny Young, Georgetown; six sisters, Betty Biddle, Alabama, Hattie Chaney, Oregon, Peggy Hensley, Versailles, Connie Hicks, Winchester, Nancy Cheek, Versailles, and Judy Abney, Midway; a granddaughter, Skylar Young; six nieces; and 12 nephews. Two brothers, David Young and James Young, are deceased.

A celebration of life was held Wednesday, April 9, at Woodford Community Christian Church by the Rev. Randy Nation.
