Martha (McDannold) Cook, 74, of Eminence, widow of T. Roger Cook, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Baptist Health in Louisville.

The daughter of the late Louis Hill and Elizabeth (Wilkerson) McDannold, she was the previous co-owner and operator of Cook’s Pharmacy. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Shelbyville.

Survivors include two daughters, Melissa Young (Donald), Eminence, and Kelly C. Smith (William), Eminence; a son, Troy Roger Cook Jr. (Robert Kent), Quakertown, Pa.; a brother, Lewis "Buddy" McDannold (Kim), Port St. Lucie, Fla.; four grandchildren, Kristin West, Amanda Mathis, and Drew and Zachary Young; and two great-granddaughters, Taylor and Ashlyn.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home by the Rev. Michael Duncan. Burial will be in the Eminence Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Bill Covington, Brady King, Bud Collins, Mount Hadden, Jason McDannold, Khristian McDannold, and Troy McDannold. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 27, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.

John Daniel Knight, 58, of Versailles, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2014.

Born March 25, 1955, in Moundsville, W.Va., he was the son of James L. and Joan Knight.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two children, John and Kimberly Knight; two sisters, Mary Jane (Jim) Henry and Susan (H.M.) Squires; a brother, Jim (Pam) Knight; and many nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 27, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill.

Roney Lee McKinney Sr., 59, of Versailles, husband of Linda McKinney, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014.

A native of Woodford County, he was born on Oct. 27, 1954, the son of the late John and Betty Workman McKinney. He was a farmer and a firefighter for Midway Fire Department. He was also a member and deacon at Penny Chapel Community Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Ann Oney, Lawrenceburg, and Amanda Hall, Versailles; a son, Roney McKinney II, Versailles; five stepchildren, Benita Noel, Frankfort, Suezie Cornett, Versailles, Jerry Cornett, Georgetown, Luke Cornett, Lexington, and Bryon Cornett, Frankfort; nine grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.

Services were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, by the Rev. Les Whitlock. Burial was in the Midway Cemetery. Casket bearers were E.J. Oney, Brad Martin, Roger Allan Patton, Zach Hollister, David Bailey, and Bryon Cornett.
