  Black

  Arlen Keith Black, 75, of Nicholasville, husband of Joyce Elaine Black, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at his home of Lou Gehrig's Disease.

He was a retired printer and an elder with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Steven Black, Lexington; three daughters, Susan McClain, Versailles, Sheila Chilton, Lawrenceburg, and Sylvia Ogden, Nicholasville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Nicholasville. Betts & West Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

 

Boling

  Harry Gardner Boling, 72, of Versailles, husband of Sallie Beam Boling, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at his residence.

Born Nov. 27, 1933, in Paris, he was the son of Dorothy Fenwick Boling of Paris and the late Harry Huffman Boling. He was a retired engineer, having worked with W.R. Stamler Corp. in Millersburg for 30 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lexington, was a graduate of Millersburg Military Institute, and attended the University of Kentucky, where he was a member of the “Marching 100.” He was also a Korean War veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Gennie Brandenburg, Versailles; three sons, Jimmy Boling, Lexington, Jeff Boling, Louisville, and Kevin Franck, Lawrenceburg; a sister, Charlotte Rees, Winchester; and 13 grandchildren, Brandon, Brady, Chase, Chaney, Carter, Brooke, Jon Thomas, Janae, and Ethan Boling, Megan, Will, and Emily Franck, and Krissie Brandenburg. A granddaughter, Katie Brandenburg, is deceased.

Services were conducted Monday, Feb. 6, at the Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, by Dr. Robert Baker. Burial was in Rose Crest Cemetery in Versailles. Casket bearers were Jeff, Brandon, and Brady Boling, Bill Thomas, Bill Bryant, and Gayle Rees.

Memorials are suggested to Calvary Baptist Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.

Conner

  Ronald "Ronnie" Keith Conner, 64, of Lexington, husband of JoAnn Conner, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at his residence.

Born in Woodford County, he was the son of the late Rodney and Evelyn Conner. He was retired from Standard Products and an Army veteran.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Charles A. Conner, Somerset; a daughter, Rhonda Jo Conner, Lexington; six grandchildren, Shane, Kevin, Justin, Samantha, Whitney, and Tiara; three great-grandchildren, Katlynn, Tyler and Shaylee; two brothers, Jimmy and Phillip Conner; and numerous nieces and nephews. A sister, Helen Powell, and two brothers, David and Rodney Conner, are deceased.

Services were conducted Monday, Feb. 6, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Main Street. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

 

  Johnson

  James Bradley Johnson, 54, of Oak Street, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006.

A native of Fayette County, he was the son of the late James and Ella Thomas "Tang" Johnson.

Survivors include five sisters, Jeanette Flannagan, Cecelia Johnson, Georgia Givens, Loretta Johnson, and Rose Givens; an aunt, Lena Finley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a special cousin, Florine Lane. A brother, Coleman Johnson, is deceased.

Services were conducted Saturday, Feb. 4, at Consolidated Baptist Church. O.L. Hughes &†Sons Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
