Sarah Elizabeth Snowden Carrier, 61, of Lexington, died Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at the Hospice Care Center.
Born in Estill County, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Bertha Lee Stamper Snowden. She was a school cafeteria manager for the Woodford County Board of Education.
Survivors include a daughter Donna Southers, Nicholasville; four sons, Albert Foley, Garrard County, Joey Foley, Mooresville, N.C., Laura Foley, Wilmore, and Larry Ryan Carrier, Nicholasville; eight grandchildren, Jacob and Hannah Foley, Mooresville, N.C., James Mason Foley, Wilmore, Kristin, Aaron, and Brytni Southers, Nicholasville, and Steven and Matthew, Nicholasville; three brothers, Barb Snowden, Mesa, Ariz., Herbie Snowden, Williamstown, and Robin Snowden, Garrard County; five sisters, Margaret Webster, Nicholasville, Brenda Horn and Margie Wells, both of Wilmore, Peggy Stratton, Harrodsburg, and Debbie Centers, Garrard County; and numerous nieces and nephews. A brother, Melvin Wayne Snowden, is deceased.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. today, Thursday, June 22, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road, by the Rev. Jeff Lytle. Burial will be in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers will be Brian Lamb, Shawn Parker, Jeremy Horn, John Reed, Timmy Wells, and Robin Snowden.
William Joseph “BJ” Hardin, 23, of Versailles, died Sunday, June 18, 2006, in Lexington from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Fayette County, he was the son of Peggy Sue Barnett Hardin and William Edward Hardin, both of Versailles. He was an employee of Kentucky’s Finest Carpet Care Co.
Survivors include a son, William Logan Hardin; and his fiancée, Tamra Perry, Versailles.
Services were conducted Wednesday, June 21, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by Fr. Frank Osburg and Fr. Alan Sutherland. Interment was in Macpelah Cemetery, Mt. Sterling. Casket bearers were Joe Britton, Jason Gray, Malcolm Hunter, Dave McOnathy, Vince Ervin, Travis Ervin, and Ben Hawkins.

Albert A. Shulze, formerly of Texas, father of Patrick Shulze of Versailles, died Monday, June 19, 2006.
Born in California, he spent his adult life serving in the U.S. Army.
Other survivors include two sons, Albert Shulze and Michael Taylor, both of Florida.
Graveside services will be conducted today, Thursday, June 29, at Camp Nelson Cemetery in Nicholasville. No visitation will be observed. Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
