Centers

Ralph D. "Danny" Centers, 54, of Versailles, died Saturday, May 31, 2014, at his residence.

Born Dec. 5, 1959, in Woodford County, he was the son of Ralph Centers and the late Dalphne Richardson Centers.

In addition to his father, he is survived by a sister, Shannon D. Centers, Versailles; his stepmother, Bert Strange Centers; two stepsisters, Terri Strange Trautman, Danville, and Nancy (Kevin) Wilson, Versailles; a stepbrother, David (Dianna) Strange, Versailles; and a special cousin, Vickie Updike, Versailles.

Services were conducted Wednesday, June 4, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by the Rev. Carl Jones and Allen Harold. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers were Mark Bunch, David Bunch, Troy Centers, Mike Sherrow, Tom Moore, and Mike Richardson. Honorary bearers were Ricky McGolderick, Howard VanHoose, Cindy Simpson, Kathy McQueen, Mike Centers and Greg Centers.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.

Davis

Toni Lou Davis, 56, died Friday, May 30, 2014, at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.

Born in Fayette County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Kathleen Stevens Tipton.

Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Davis and Sarah White, both of Versailles; five sisters, Judy Way, Lexington, Rosemary Abrams, Versailles, Loretta Ratliff, Campton, Ida Smith, Versailles, and Mildred Snyder (Danny), Lexington; three brothers, Thomas J. Tipton (Diana), Lexington, Mike Tipton (Marie), Versailles, and Sammy Tipton (Lila), Lawrenceburg; and three grandchildren. Three sisters, Donna Tipton, Sunbeam Tipton, and Dovie Tipton, and a grandson, TaiShawn White, are deceased.

Services were conducted Tuesday, June 3, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by Bro. Terry Gillum. Burial was in Rose Crest Cemetery. Casket bearers were Jonathan Spencer, Steven Way, Daniel Florence, David Florence, Jimmy Ratliff, and Chris Ratliff. Honorary bearers were Mike Tipton, Sammy Tipton, and Thomas Tipton.

Maxberry

Noah Ray Allen Maxberry, infant son of Kasee Hood and Marcus Maxberry of Versailles, died Thursday, May 29, 2014.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Malachi, Darion, Brooklyn, VonTae, Tristan and Demetrius; his maternal grandparents, Myra Siegelman, Versailles, and Kenneth Hood, Nicholasville; his paternal grandfather, Russell Maxberry, Lexington; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. His paternal grandmother, Quidda Maxberry, is deceased.

A graveside service was conducted Monday, June 2, at Rose Crest Cemetery.

Mynear

Lowell Gene Mynear, 60, of Versailles, died Friday, May 30, 2014.

Born Jan. 9, 1954, in Carlisle, he was the son of Lowell J. Mynear and the late Dorthy Ellen Salder Mynear of Paris.

Survivors include his fiancée, Carolyn Estes, Versailles; a daughter, Tracy Mynear, Paris; a granddaughter, Bayleigh Mottox, Paris; two sisters, Shirley (Wayne) Clem and Judy Mynear, both of Paris; three brothers, Ronald (Hazel) Mynear, James (Jenny) Mynear, and Melvin (Cindy) Mynear, all of Paris; a half-brother, James Thomas Morey, New York; a half-sister, Ellen Singletary, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services, which will be officiated by Jim Sturm, are pending.

Raglin

William Alexander "Rags" Raglin Sr., 82, of Las Vegas, Nev., widower of Margaret "Bee Bee" Raglin, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014.

Born Nov. 1, 1932, in Woodford County, he was the son of John and Anna Raglin. He made a career in the U.S. Air Force. After his retirement from the Air Force, he worked for American Motors Company as its senior personnel representative. He returned to Eastern Michigan University following his retirement from American Motors, received a master’s degree in education, and taught high school in Detroit, Mich., from which he retired in 1995.

Survivors include a daughter, Vanessa Raglin; a son, William Raglin Jr.; a brother, Roy Raglin, Midway; a sister, Margaret Collins, Midway; four grandchildren; and many other relatives. A brother, Bob Smith, and three sisters, Lillie Mae Overton, Lottie Ann Mitchell, and Alice Raglin, are deceased.

Services were conducted Tuesday, May 6, at Palm Mortuary – Eastern, Las Vegas. Burial was in the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City, Nev.

 

Reynolds

Hunter Elijah Reynolds, infant son of Loran Wilson and James Reynolds, died Sunday, June 1, 2014.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Melvin and Jennifer Young, Versailles; his paternal grandmother, Connie Turner, Richmond; two sisters, Kaylee Reynolds, Richmond, and Taylor Hammonds, Nicholasville; and three brothers, Logan Reynolds, Richmond, James Reynolds Jr., Versailles, and Ryder Hammonds, Nicholasville. His paternal grandfather, Bennett Turner, is deceased.

Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, June 4, at Rose Crest Cemetery.

Robinson

Delbert Robinson, 85, of Versailles, widower of Elizabeth Lawson Robinson, died Friday, May 30, 2014.

Born in Hodgenville, he was the son of the late Lawrence Robinson and Anna Smith Rogers. He was retired lieutenant colonel with the U.S. Army, a former insurance director for Southern Farm Bureau and member of Versailles Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Deborah A. (Bill) Reak, Pensacola, Fla., a son, Steven R. (Jackie) Robinson, Versailles; a sister, Sue (Harold) Smith, Lexington; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted Tuesday, June 3, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville. Interment with military honors was in the Red Hill Cemetery, Larue County. Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home, Versailles, was in charge of arrangements.
