Horace Dawson, 77, of Versailles, husband of Bonnie Dawson, died Monday, June 3, 2013.

Born May 4, 1936, in Owenton, he was the son of Lindsay Dawson and Clemmie Snelson Dawson. He was the owner of Dawson’s TV & Radio Shack in Versailles and a member and former deacon of New Hope Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Becky (Gary) Hockensmith, Frankfort, Barbara (John) Boren, Versailles, and Heather (Eric) Schneider, Indiana; a sister, Joan Dunn, Versailles; four grandchildren, Jason Dawson Pulliam, Lexington, John H. (Annie) Boren, Virginia, Bethany Boren, Versailles, and Rylee Schneider, Indiana; and two great-grandchildren, Dawson Pulliam, Lexington, and Kolton Winfield, Danville.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 7, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, by Dr. Wesley Noss. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers will be John Boren, Gary Hockensmith, Chuck Hunt, Don Keel, Shon Ping, and Eric Schneider. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, at the funeral home.

Lois Fitzhugh Farr, 69, formerly of Versailles, widow of Ludd Farr, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, in Florida.

Survivors include a son, Dan Farr (Wendi Reich), Indianapolis, Ind.; and a granddaughter, Mia Farr.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 7, at Versailles United Methodist Church by the Rev. Rebecca Peterson. Burial will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery. Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Woodie Keith Wasson, 50, of Versailles, husband of Christy Wasson, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013.

A native of Versailles, he was born on Nov. 14, 1962, the son of Vivian Estes Cooper and the late Woodie Keith Wasson.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Harlee Collins Wasson, Versailles; a stepdaughter, Casey Bumgardner, Versailles; two sons, Caleb Wasson and Michael Wasson, both of Versailles; a grandson, Brentley Collins, Versailles; a sister, Belinda Singleton, Lexington; a step-grandson, Landon Bumgardner; a stepsister, Amy Cooper, Haines City, Fla.; and three stepbrothers, Jerry Cooper and Charlie Cooper both of Versailles, and Bryan Cooper, Gate City, Va.

Graveside services were conducted Saturday, June 1, in the Versailles Cemetery. Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, was in charge of arrangements.
