Baker

Beverly Ann Lathery Baker, 39, of Harrodsburg, formerly of Versailles, wife of Bill Baker, died Saturday, May 11, 2013.

The daughter of Brenda Foley (Harrison) Sizemore of Versailles, and the late John Robert Lathery, she was an active member of the Lighthouse Apostolic Church.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Tabitha (Noni) Bernabe and Tiffany (Nemo) Beltran; a son, James Austin Steele; a stepdaughter, Julie Baker, all of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Tammy (Brian) Wiese, Lexington, and Jennifer (Lalo Rios) Snow, Versailles; three brothers, Bradford Walton and Paul Wayne Lathery, both of Versailles, and John Robert Lathery, Lawrenceburg; her stepfather, Jake Foley, Versailles; and six grandchildren, Brady Johnson, Antonio Bernabe, Jayden Bernabe, Gabriella Beltran, Andres Bernabe, and Grayson Beltran.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, May 16, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, May 17, by Pastor Terry Gillum. Burial will follow at the Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg. Casket bearers will be Austin Steele, Noni Bernabe, Nemo Beltran, Brad Walton, Paul Lathery, John Robert Lathery, Brian Wiese, and Junior Lathery.

Darnell

Ruby Steverson Darnell, 90, of Frankfort, widow of Robert Darnell, died Thursday, May 9, 2013.

Born Aug. 19, 1922, in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Emma Goodrich Steverson. She was a homemaker and a member of Millville Christian Church.

Survivors include a son, Robert (Cheryl) Darnell, Frankfort; a brother, Joe Steverson, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Derek Darnell, Lori (Daniel) Hancock, and Stacy (Paul) McClanahan; and four great-grandchildren, Veronica Hancock, Mathew McClanahan, Warren Hancock, and Will McClanahan.

Graveside services were conducted Monday, May 13, in the chapel at Sunset Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Ray Holdren. Casket bearers were Derek Darnell, Daniel Hancock, Paul McClanahan, and Eddie Steverson. Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort, was in charge of arrangements.

DeRossett

Mary Gladys DeRossett, 62, of Versailles, died Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Baptist Health Lexington.

Born Dec. 3, 1950, in Prestonsburg, she was the daughter of Emmogene Hughes DeRossett, Versailles, and the late Wadegreen DeRossett. She achieved an associate’s degree in nursing from Eastern Kentucky University, her B.S.N. at the University of Kentucky, an M.S.N. from Spaulding University, and was a retired advanced registered nurse practitioner with the Veterans Administration in Lexington.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a brother, Grant (Sandy) DeRossett, Lexington; an adopted granddaughter, AC 2nd Class (USN) Meagan DeRossett; two nephews, Norman Lee Bowers and Wade Green (Julie) DeRossett II; a niece, Gretchen (David) Games; and seven great-nieces and nephews, Corey and Katie Bennett, Whitley, Miranda and Gavin Games, and Abby and Ellie DeRossett. A sister, Lois Ann DeRossett Bowers, and an infant sister are deceased. Services were conducted Monday, May 13, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by Bro. Jimmy Caswell. Cremation followed services.

Grinnell

Mary Sharp Grinnell, 91, widow of Arthur L. Grinnell, died Friday, May 3, 2013.

Born July 10, 1921, in Versailles, she was the daughter of Otis Sharp and Ethel Wirian Sharp. She was a member of Versailles Baptist Church. Two sisters, Mildred Walsh and Catherine Tate, are deceased.

Graveside services were conducted Monday, May 6, at the Paris Cemetery by the Rev. John Brandon.

Roberts

Jerry Wayne Roberts, age 65, passed away Saturday, May 11. 2013.

Jerry was a native of Versailles, Ky., a long-time resident of North Florida, and a combat Marine veteran of the Vietnam War.

Jerry is survived by his sons, Joseph Roberts and Jamey Thompson (Alisa); daughters; Lisa Spaulding (Gene) and Jenny Theus (Chris); brothers Mike Roberts (Donnell) and Steve Roberts (Patty); sisters Mabaline Wilson and Brenda Jones (Ken); nine grandchildren, Zachery Theus, Elizabeth Stallings, Melissa Spaulding, Jeremiah Spaulding, Chandler Theus, Rion Thompson, Rebecca Theus, Samuel Roberts, and Colton Thompson; and a great-grandson, Braiden Theus. Jerry is also survived by the love of his life, Linda Roberts.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. today, Thursday, May 16, in the chapel of Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd. (781-4314), Jacksonville, Fla., with Pastor Wade Mask officiating, followed by interment in Jacksonville National Cemetery with Marine honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Hospice of N.E. Florida.

Robinson

Donna Jean Hall Robinson, 55, of Versailles, died Friday, May 10, 2013, at her home.

The daughter of the late Eugene Hall and Ruby Pearl Robinson Campbell, she was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Lyn Royster (Jennifer), Midway, and Daniel Eugene Willard, Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren, Tyler and Tiffany Royster, Midway; a sister, Annette Campbell, Shelbyville; and three brothers, Eddie Campbell (Mamie) and Jamey Campbell (Carol), both of Lawrenceburg, and Billy Campbell (Sondra), Sturgis.

Services were conducted Wednesday, May 15, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg by Bro. Noal Cotton Jr. Burial was in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
