Coffman

Priscilla Ann Flora Coffman, 56, of Versailles, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

Born Oct. 13, 1951, in Woodford County, she was the daughter of Arthur and Anna Mae Wilson Flora of Versailles. She was a retired YH America employee.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Lisa Coffman, Versailles; a son, Randy Coffman, Lexington; two sisters, Sandy McKinney and Debbie Brown, both of Versailles; and three grandchildren, Brittany, Tanner, and Grace Coffman.

Services were conducted Friday, Oct. 26, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, by the Rev. Jason Clark. Burial was in the Versailles Cemetery. Casket bearers were Randy Coffman, Larry Vaughn, Antonie Reed, Calvin Morton, Marcus Brown, and Ronald Hammer. Honorary bearers were Tanner Coffman, Sandy McKinney, Debbie Brown, and Arthur Flora.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.

Moke

Daniel Kapa Moke Sr., 81, of Versailles, husband of Yoshiko Moke, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at the Homestead Nursing Home in Lexington.

Born July 8, 1926, in Kauai, Hawaii, he was the son of the late Kapa and Molly Hepa Moke. He was a retired truck driver and was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Versailles. He started the first scuba diving company in Hawaii and later gave surfing lessons.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Donna Hearn, Versailles; a son, Daniel Kapa Moke Jr., Kauai, Hawaii; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Versailles. Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, is in charge of arrangements.

Peavler

Norma Lou Peavler, 77, of Lexington, wife of Dwight Peavler, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at the Hospice Care Center.

Born in Estill County, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Lela Watson. She was a retired administrative assistant for the Kentucky Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and a member of Southland Christian Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Kyna Koch, Lexington; two sons, Scott Richardson, Lexington, and Mike Sayre, Versailles; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Savannah, and Liam Richardson, Tyler Forsythe, Jacob Koch, Corey Sayre, and Kate McDonald; two great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Reid Sayre; two sisters, Thelma Watson and Opal Homan, both of Dayton, Ohio; a brother, Harold Watson, Irvine; and a special niece, Judith Carol Powell. Three sisters, Geneva Baker, Leona Valentine, and Mary Moberly, are deceased.

Services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 1, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.

Ramirez

Pacita "Ching" Almoro Ramirez, 79, of Frankfort, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at the University of Kentucky A.B. Chandler Medical Center.

Born March 18, 1928, in Manila, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Jose Dizon and Antonia Almoro Ramirez. She was a retired teacher in Davao City, Philippines, and a member of Good Shepherd Church.

Survivors include a son, Reynaldo Ramirez, Frankfort; a sister, Norma Ramirez Baluyut, Chicago, Ill.; two nieces, Arlene Baluyut Cash, Frankfort, and Amy Baluyut Cannon, Virginia; and a nephew, Art Ramirez Baluyut, Indiana.

A funeral mass was conducted Saturday, Oct. 27, at Good Shepherd Church by the Reverend Pat Stewart. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers were Jun Adaniel, Ryan Kausing, Rodnel Hijalda, Ed Morente, Lino Bermundo, and Rugie Llanora. Clark Funeral Home, Versailles Road, Frankfort, was in charge of arrangements.

Roberts

Elizabeth Roberts, 86, of Frankfort, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 21, 1921, in Newport.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Roberts, Lexington; two grandchildren, Phillip Roberts and Mandy Roberts; three step-grandchildren, Katheryn Heinz, Carolyn Jones, and Scott Wilson; and two great-grandchildren, Braden and Brianna Jones.

Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Clark Funeral Home, Versailles Road, Frankfort, was in charge of arrangements.

Wilkins

Bobby Gene Wilkins, 48, of Nicholasville, died on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, of cancer.

Born in Fayette County, he was the son of Marie Currens Wilkins of Nicholasville and the late Bobby Joe Wilkins. He was a former lawn care worker. His mother was a member of the Currens family of Woodford County.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Brittany Tipton, Nicholasville; Bobby Wilkins II, Clay County; a sister, Karen Cairel, Nicholasville; and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Annaleigh Wilkins.

Mr. Wilkins was cremated. There will be no visitation or service. Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
