Blair

Barbara E. Blair, 73, of Versailles, mother of Cynthia (Carey) Little, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at the Markey Cancer Center.

Born in Massena, N.Y., she was the daughter of Margaret Amelia Jenkins Blair of Massena, N.Y., and the late Donald Guy Blair.

In addition to her daughter and mother, she is survived by a granddaughter, Brianne (Sean) Mahoney, Fredrick, Md.; a grandson, Spencer Dykes, Richmond; two sisters, Sandra (Harold) Brothers and Helen (Richard) Delisle; a brother, Lloyd Blair, all of Massena, N.Y.; and a great-grandson, Bryce Mahoney.

Graveside funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Sunset Memorial Gardens by Fr. Danny Schwendeman. Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Duncan

Marion Scott Duncan Sr., 68, husband of Donna Eddins Duncan, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at his home.

Born in Richmond and raised in Danville, he was the son of the late Archie C. Duncan of Richmond (who died when Mr. Duncan was 3 years old) and the late E. R. Begley, and stepson of James Begley, formerly of Danville. A retired federal bank examiner, he was a graduate of Kentucky Military Institute and the University of Kentucky, and was a member of the First Christian Church of Versailles.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Jimmie Lou (Ron) Abney, Stanford; two sons, M. Scott (Carol) Duncan Jr., Charlotte, N.C., and Bryan (Tiffany) Duncan, Simpsonville, S.C.; and five grandchildren, Eric, Kate, Liam, Aidan, and Morgan.

Services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by the Rev. Keevin Carter. Burial was next to his father in the Richmond Cemetery. Casket bearers were Ken Cox, Matt Duncan, Brandon Eddins, Billy Gaines, Ashley Keith, and Ed Purdom.

League

Iona Gill League, 90, of Frankfort, widow of James League, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Baptist Health La Grange.

She was retired from the Kentucky Department of Revenue and was a member of Eastern Star. She was also a member and Sunday school teacher for Forks of Elkhorn Baptist.

Survivors include three sons, Donald (Vicki) League, La Grange, Bennie (Sara) League, Frankfort, and David (Judy) League, Florida; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist by the Rev. Todd Lester. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers will be Steve Harrod, Eric League, Austin League, John Andrew League, James Hawkins, and Sam Robison. Honorary bearers will be Tommy Lippert, Charles Logan, Bill Tabor, Bill Godby, Charles Barmore, Fred Lippert, and Henry League. Visitation will be held today, Thursday, Nov. 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church. Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Morales

Maria De la luz Ochoa Morales, 38, wife of Gonzalo Mejia Heredia, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Taretan, Michoacan, Mexico, she was the daughter of Antonio Ochoa Elisarraras and Margarita Morales Bravo.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by a daughter, Margarita Mejia-Ochoa; two sons, Cesar Mejia-Ochoa and Jose Gonzalo Mejia-Ochoa; and two brothers, Alvaro Ochoa Morales and Antonio Ochoa Morales.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 14, at St. Leo Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery. Blackburn & Ward Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.

Morrison

Carolyn Tilghman Morrison, 70, of Harrodsburg, formerly of Versailles, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at the Central Baptist Hospital.

Born in Versailles, she was the daughter of Ruby Carr Tilghman and the late John Willie Tilghman. She was a graduate of the Versailles High School and a former Rand McNally & Co. employee.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons, Steve (Jenny) Morrison, Versailles, and Jeff (Melissa) Morrison, Harrodsburg; and two sisters, Ann (Lynn David) Clem, Lawrenceburg, and Linda (Jim) Mullins, Harrodsburg.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 14, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, by the Rev. John Brandon. Burial will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
