Leach

Maryann Shelley Leach, 52, wife of Vernon Leach, was called home to be with her Lord on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013.

Maryann was born Jan. 6, 1961, to Loretta Jones Shelley and Marvin Jay Shelley of North Middletown, Ky. She was a member of Woodford Community Christian Church and was the bookkeeper for Cornerstone Pharmacy and Dr. Frank Marcum.

Survivors, in addition to her husband and parents, include her son, Vernon Ray Leach Jr. (JR) of Versailles; her sister, Donna Rae (Dale) Osborne of Millersburg; and her brother, David Jay (Kristie) Shelley of Paris.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 3, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, with the Rev. Randy Nation officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Crest Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Luke Mitchell, Nolan Jackson, Clayton Lykins, Kenneth Houston, Robert Richardson, and Dale Osborne.

In honor of Mary’s life and legacy, contributions may be made to the Maryann Shelley Leach Scholarship Fund, 100 S. Main St., Versailles, KY 40383, or to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 643 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601.

Wright

Edward A. Wright, 69, of Versailles, retired Christian ministries director for WJMM Radio, husband of June Shepperson Wright, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013.

Born in Lexington, he was the son of the late Roy A. Wright and Juanita Steele Parker. He was a Bryan Station High School graduate and had attended Indiana University South Bend. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Versailles Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jill Wright Smith (Andy), Versailles; two granddaughters, Maia and Ivy Smith; and his stepmother, Juanita K. Wright, Louisville.

Services were conducted Friday, Sept. 27, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to the Woodford County Senior Citizens Center or the Versailles Baptist Church Sanctuary Renovation Fund.
