Barry L. Brandenburg, 66, of Versailles, husband of Teresa Barney Brandenburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born May 24, 1947, in Versailles, he was the son of the late Winford and Pauline Brown Brandenburg. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a supervisor at Kentucky Utilities, and a past Boy Scout leader in Lawrenceburg.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Shannon (John) Camilleri, North Carolina; a son, Joe Adams, of the Philippines; and two grandchildren, Michael and Rebecca Camilleri. A daughter, Jennifer Lynn Brandenburg, and a brother, Dickie Brandenburg, are deceased.
A Celebration of Life Service was conducted Saturday, Sept. 14, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill.

Eli "June" Curry, Jr., 88, of Versailles, husband of Maxine Curry, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013.
Born Aug. 24, 1925, in Woodford County, he was the son of the late Eli and Susie Goodrich Curry. He was a foreman for the Department of Transportation, a farmer, and a member of Hillsboro Baptist Church. He was a World War II veteran with the United States Army Air Force.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Linda Grider, Versailles; a son, Keith (Betty) Curry, Versailles; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Two sons, Mark Curry and Danny Curry, are deceased.
Services were conducted Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, by the Rev. Terry Jenkins and the Rev. Martha Bowman. Burial was in the Versailles Cemetery. Casket bearers were Marcus Grider, Christopher Grider, Keith L. Curry, Landon Curry, Jeremy Jenkins, and Randy Holman.

Santa Virginia Fernandez, 53, of Lawrenceburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at her home.
Born Feb. 19, 1960, in Lexington, she was the daughter of Virginia Mae Bowling of Lawrenceburg and the late Manuel D. Fernandez, and grew up in Versailles. While living in Santa Fe, N.M., she attended college and worked in banking. She later moved to Richmond and served as a Hospice volunteer in Berea.In addition to her mother, she is survived by two brothers, David M. Fernandez (Mary), Richmond, and James Anthony "Tony" Fernandez, Atlanta, Ga.; five nieces and nephews, Daniel and John David Fernandez, and Alec, Anthony, and Aimee Alvarez. A sister, Pamela Alvarez, and an infant brother, Dudley Fernandez, are deceased.
The body will be cremated. No public services will be held. The Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg is in charge of arrangements.

Lora J. Short, 59, of Versailles, wife of Jimmy Tate, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013.
She was an accounts payable clerk for D&R Pharmacare.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her goddaughter, Meghan Bratcher, Salvisa, and Teresa Bratcher, Salvisa.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, Sept. 17, at the Versailles Cemetery by Pastor John Brandon.

Oreena Faye (Granny) Kincaid, 88, widow of William H. Kincaid Sr., died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at the residence of her son in Georgetown.
The daughter of the late Dave and Bertha Thompson, she was a retired employee of Kuhlman Electric.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce (Tommy) Turner, Versailles; three sons, William H. (Debbie) Kincaid Jr., The Village, Fla., Richard Wayne Kincaid, Phoenix, Ariz., and Kenneth (Mary) Kincaid, Georgetown; a sister, Fona Manly, Lexington; a brother, Vodis Thompson, Versailles; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A son, Harley Talmadge Kincaid; two brothers, Eugene and Charles Thompson; and a sister, Edna King, are deceased.
Services were conducted Monday, Sept. 16, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers were John Turner II, Bob Nuckles, Gregg Turner, Chris Kidwell, Jonathan Britton, Justin Kincaid, and Kevin Kincaid. Honorary bearer was Jerry Philpot. Anne Olson Young, 68, of Versailles, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at her home.
Born in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Theodora Shotwell Olson. The former bookkeeper at Olsonís Gas Company, she was a graduate of Versailles High School, a member of the Pisgah Homemakers, and a member of Woodford Community Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Kessler (Wayne) Bosby, Charleston, S.C.; a son, Mark Olson (Cathy S. Johnson) Young, Versailles; two sisters, Joyce Currens and Shirley Eustice, both of Versailles; and two granddaughters, Sydney Young-Eskridge, Orlando, Fla., and Abigail Elizabeth Young, Lexington. A son, Matthew Arthur Young, is deceased.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 19, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by the Rev. Randy Nation. Committal and burial will be in Rose Crest Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Wayne Brandenburg, Terry Eustice, James Calvin Currens, Steve Currens, Wendell Grayson, and Pat Wilhoit. Honorary bearers will be John Owen Range, Larry Eustice, Marilyn W. Douglas, and Matthew Arthur Young.
