Virginia Ann Jackson Evans, 81, died July 13, 2026. She was born Oct. 25, 1944, in Oliver Springs, Tennessee, to the late Frank and Florine Jackson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Waldo Evans.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Waldo Evans (Tyra); her daughter, Melinda Ann Evans; and her grandchildren, Brandon Chase Evans (Nathan), Caleigh Brooke Evans and Jordan Alexis Evans.
Virginia is also survived by her siblings, Diana Morgan (Jim), Ronnie Jackson (Diane) and Teddy Jackson (Vicki); her sisters-in-law, Wilma Walker and Wanda Higgins, whose husbands, Jimmy Walker and Ronnie Higgins, preceded Virginia in death; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will be held at Versailles United Methodist Church on Friday, July 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to noon. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at noon. A private burial will take place in Benton, Kentucky.
