Jewell Margaret Brandenburg, 79, of Versailles, Ky., died on Nov. 24, 2024. Jewell was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland to the late Cord Brandenburg and Wilhelmina Kennedy Razor.
She graduated from Versailles High School and retired from the Kentucky Department of Disability Determinations. She was a member of Saint Andrews Anglican Church, Versailles, Ky., and Saint Peters Anglican Church, Frankfort, Ky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Jeannette Moore.
She is survived by her son James Brandenburg of Lincoln, Neb.; her daughter Nancy (Trevor) Gilbert-Pierce, Lakeland, Fla.; grandchildren, Nicholas Brandenburg, Morgan Strickland and Ellery Pierce; brother, William (Danna) Brandenburg, Versailles; sister, Lisa (Alan) Nichols, Versailles; many beloved nieces and nephews; and a special cousin, Jennifer Combs Wick, Maui, Hawaii.
The memorial service was held at Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church, Versailles, Ky., on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Bluegrass Care Navigators or the Woodford County Humane Society.
