The Changing of the Year
The sky-bound ponies wildly race,
And kick up clouds across the blue;
They gallop at a breathless pace,
To usher in a season new.
A cool fall breeze begins to blow,
And strips the branches of their gold;
The leaves descend to earth below,
As autumn weather takes its hold.
The summer sun begins to fade,
We gather in the final yield;
The heavy harvest tasks are made,
Across the quiet, frosty field.
