Gene L. Kimmel, 81, widower of Barbara J. Kimmel, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2017.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he was the son of the late Louis and Thelma Mathews Kimmel. He was plant manager of a steel mill in Chicago and attended Washington University and Carnegie Mellon University.
Survivors include three children, Wendy (Richard) Brower, Albany, N.Y.; Greg (Sarah) Kimmel, Richland, Wash.; and Pam Kimmel, Versailles, Ky.; and five grandchildren, Jessica, Nicole, Derek Brower and Nicole and Teresa Kimmel.
Services will be held at a later date. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. is in charge of arrangements.
