Bobbie Jean Dotson Burkich, 85, of Versailles, wife of Robert Burkich, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015. Born in Norton, Va., she was the daughter of the late Cossie Dotson and Thelma Reed Dotson. She was an educator in the Woodford County School System and a member of Versailles Presbyterian Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Debbie (Bob) Burkich Abell, Morehead; a son, Steve (Janice) Burkich, Danville; five grandchildren, Jon Grubb, Joe (Corrissa) Grubb, Alan Grubb, Stephanie (Michael) Burkich Hayes, and Katie Burkich; and three great-grandchildren, Kylie Grubb, Piper Grubb, and Samuel Hayes. A memorial service was conducted Monday, Dec. 21, at Versailles Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Darryl Baker. Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, was in charge of arrangements.
