Doris Lou Baker Powell, 83, of Frankfort, widow of Bobby Powell, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015. A native of Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Salin and Nellie Ellis Baker. Survivors include a sister, Helen Hall, Lawrenceburg, two brothers, Bill Baker, Frankfort, and Jim Baker, Murray; and numerous nieces and nephews. Four brothers, Salin Baker Jr., Alvin Baker, Benny Baker, and Don Baker, are deceased. Services were conducted Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort, by Dr. Robert Baker and the Rev. Allen Baker. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
