Laura Ritchey Centers, 66, of Versailles, wife of Dinzle Centers, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016, at the St. Joseph Hospital. Born in Versailles, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Ruth Perry Hartley and was a member of the Versailles Baptist Church. A retired Lexington Clinic employee, she had been a musician, pianist, and organist for many years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Kristi (Dewayne) Reed, Versailles; a son, Philip (Stephanie) Ritchey, Tupelo, Miss.; a daughter-in-law, Courtney Ritchey, Versailles; a brother, David A. Hartley, Versailles; two grandchildren, Kody Ritchey and Riley Joseph; and her husband’s children, Troy (Cindy) Centers and Melisa (Keith) McDonald and their families. Her first husband, Donnie Ritchey, and her eldest son, David Brock Ritchey, are deceased. Services were conducted Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Versailles Baptist Church by the Rev. Michael Cabell. Burial was in the Versailles Cemetery. Casket bearers were Philip Ritchey, Dewayne Reed, Tommy Burgett, Kody Ritchey, Riley Joseph, Hank Ward, and Ben McNees. Honorary bearers were George Perry, Bill and Ann Probus, Belinda Alexander, Candice Lewis, Sarah Lippert, Georgia Moffett, Geraldine and J. B. Stratton, and Judy and Donnie Parrott.
