Jessie Clifton McDonald, 93, of Versailles, widower of Lucille Risk McDonald, died Wednesday, Jan/ 13, 2016. Born June 3, 1922, in Frankfort, he was the son of the late Jess and Pauline Richardson McDonald. He was a retired farmer and employee of Kuhlman Corporation. He was also a member of Woodlake Baptist Church. Survivors include five daughters, Patricia (George) Faulkner, Wanda (Billy) Wright, Sharon Botkins, Linda Goodlett and Judy (Phil) Shryock; two sons, Gary (Carol) McDonald and Keith (Melisa) McDonald; a sister, Helen Shelton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Two daughters, Shelby Atkinson and Mary Helen McDonald, two sons, Ronald McDonald and Clifton “Kippy” McDonald, and three brothers, Floyd, James and Kenneth McDonald, are deceased. Graveside services were conducted Saturday, Jan. 16, at Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel. Casket bearers were his grandsons. Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, was in charge of arrangements.
