Edwina Cecelia Finneran Hill, 90, widow of Lewis Edward Hill, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, in Frankfort. Born June 13, 1925, in Midway, she was the daughter of the late Edward Aloysius and Helen Genevieve (Nell) Haney Finneran. She was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, where she served as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She volunteered with several local community charities. Survivors include three children, Pat (Bo) Thomas, Versailles, Thomas (Gloria) Hill, Staffordsville, and Janet (Tony) Jewell, Frankfort; six grandchildren, David Christopher Thomas, Valerie Hill Edgeworth (Jeremy), Matthew Edward Thomas, Kyle Anthony Jewell (Amanda), Kurt Michael Jewell, and Thomas Alexander Hill; and three great-grandchildren, Levi Anthony Jewell, Adalyn Hart Jewell, and David Lewis Edgeworth. Three siblings, Genevieve, Bernard, and Alfred Finneran, are deceased. A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted Monday, Jan. 18, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Frankfort. Burial followed in the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers were her grandchildren. Contributions are suggested to the Good Shepherd Church Ladies Auxiliary.
