Leslie Ruth Kanatzar, 51, of Versailles, wife of Daryl Kanatzar, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016. Born Nov. 8, 1964, in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Joyce Griffith and James Walter Griffith (“Chubby”). She was a 1983 graduate of Lafayette High School, and a former member of Southside Christian Church and the Bluegrass Express Cloggers, who were featured on the national TV show “Hee Haw.” In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Daryl “Matthew” Kanatzar; two sisters, Lisa Dunn and Rita Griffith; five nephews, Steven LaBarge, James Todd Griffith “J.T.”, Todd Matthew Dunn, Clayton Davis Dunn, and Taylor Dean Kanatzar; her father-in-law, Roger Kanatzar; her mother-in-law, Mary Lois Kanatzar; her brother-in-law, Matt Kanatzar; and her sister-in-law, Macey Kanatzar. A brother, Todd Griffith, and her mother-in-law, Helen Kanatzar, are deceased. Services were conducted Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Kerr Brothers-Harrodsburg Road, Lexington. Burial was in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to God’s Pantry, 1685 Jaggie Fox Way, Lexington, KY 40511.
