City of Versailles City Hall 196 South Main Street Versailles, KY 40383 Sealed Bids for the construction of Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation – Phase 3 consisting of approximately 15,000 LF of 6” through 24” gravity sewer to be cleaned and video inspected, 485 l.f. of 6” cured in place pipe (CIPP), 18,700 LF of 8” CIPP, 190 l.f of 10” CIPP, 330 l.f. of 12” CIPP, 80 6” and 8” diameter point repairs, 90 service lateral connection replacements, 40 cured in place service connections, 34 8” diameter CIPP spot repairs, various repairs to approximately 255 manholes including resetting or replacing frames, reconstructing troughs, sealing leaks, lining interiors with cementitious and H2S resistant coating, replacing risers and cones, Woodland Lift Station Rehabilitation, and Church Street Gravity Sewer Relocation, together with all related work as specified and shown in the bidding documents, will be received by the City of Versailles at City Hall, 196 South Main Street, Versailles, KY 40383 until 11:00 p.m. (local time), Tuesday, February 23, 2016, and then at said office opened and publicly read aloud. The BIDDING DOCUMENTS, consisting of Advertisement for Bids, Instructions to Bidders, Bid, Bid Bond, Agreement, Notice of Award form, Notice to Proceed form, Construction Performance Bond, Construction Payment Bond, Sample Certificate of Insurance form, Application for Payment form, General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions, Change Order form, Technical Specifications, Addenda, and Drawings, may be examined at the following locations: The City of Versailles City Hall 196 South Main Street Versailles, KY 40383 and GRW Engineers, Inc. 801 Corporate Drive Lexington, KY 40503 Copies of the BIDDING DOCUMENTS MUST be obtained from GRW Engineers Inc., through their digital Plan Roomhttp://www.grwinc.com/plan-room upon payment of $125.00. Digital copies (on a CD) of the bidding documents are included with the purchase of the printed bidding documents. Payment is not refundable. Bids from anyone not on the Engineer’s Plan Holders List will not be opened. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid to insure the execution of the contract for which the bid is made. In case the bid is not accepted, the check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder, but if the bid is accepted and the bidder shall refuse or neglect to enter into a contract with the City of Versailles within ten (10) days after the time he has been notified of the acceptance of his bid, the said check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City of Versailles as liquidated damages for the failure to do so. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after closing time scheduled for the receipt of bids.
