Bessie Simpson, 86, of Frankfort, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016. Born on April 7, 1929, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Laura Carrier Hellard. She was a member of New Life Worship Center. Survivors include five children, Danny (Mary) Simpson, Frankfort, Mae Meadows, Frankfort, Barbara (Gary) McDaniel, Lawrenceburg, Wanda (Jim) Sharp, Frankfort, and Dene Jackson, Frankfort; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Marion Stratton, Versailles, and Zeke Hellard and John Hellard, both of Frankfort. A son, Billy Woods, is deceased. Services were conducted Friday, Feb. 19, at Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel. Casket bearers were James Sharp, David Sharp, Daniel Simpson, Shane Simpson, Jamison Owens, Jeffrey Sharp, Randell Hall and Randon Hall.
