Ruth Ann Sirmans, 84, of Versailles, widow of Albert Abner Sirmans, to whom she was married for 49-½ years, died Monday, Feb. 29, 2016. Born Oct. 20, 1931, in Los Angeles, Calif., she was the daughter of the late Harry Bridges and Dorothy Arnold Taylor. She was a mechanical assembler at DPI and a member of Versailles Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Jean (Bill) Sirmans Hedges, Ohio, and Kristine (Peter Leaf) Sirmans, Oregon; two sons, Bruce Robert (Jamie) Sirmans and Terry Lee (Kim) Sirmans, both of Michigan; nine grandchildren, Nancy (David) Jenkins, Jason (Sarah) Byram, Denise (Clayton) Hughes, Jackie Sirmans, Ryan Sirmans, Alex (Becky) Sirmans, Terra (Kevin) Trombley, Kenny (Theresa) Smith, and Clayton (Jennifer) Smith; 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service was conducted Thursday, March 3, at Versailles Presbyterian Church. Contributions may be made to the Woodford Humane Society.
