Edwin Lee “Eddie” Thompson, 67, of Versailles, husband of Cheryl Thompson, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Born July 30, 1948, in Midway, he was the son of the late Howard Thompson and Stella Clark Hatfield. He was a machine operator for Quad/Graphics and attended Glenn’s Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Becky Thompson (Joe) Routt, Versailles; three step-children, Deidre Head, Ryan Head and Travis Head, all of Versailles; six grandchildren, Brock Thompson, Seth Thompson, Thea Wright, Aleana Jones, Emmalynn Head, and Cheyenne Grubbs; and three great-grandchildren, Blaiten Thompson, Cayson Thompson, and Paxton Thompson. A son, Eddie Lee Thompson Jr., and a sister, Mildred Faye Drury, are deceased. A gathering of family and friends was held Saturday, March 5, at Clark Legacy Center, Frankfort.
