Glenda Rose Cox, 63, of Versailles, wife of Tommy Cox, died Friday, March 11, 2016, at her home. Born in Hamilton County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Mazie Sallee and Calvin Franklin Evans. An employee of the Dollar General Store, she was an avid dog lover who cared for and rescued many dogs in her life. In addition to her husband of 18 years, she is survived by two daughters, Marlena Stevens and Amy (Chris Harris) Richards, both of Versailles; two stepdaughters, Heather Cox, Midway, and Angel Cox, Salvisa; a stepson, Davie (Dana) Richards, Versailles; two sisters, Malissa Walker and Brenda Campbell; two brothers, Frank Evans and Rowland Evans; and nine grandchildren, Gage Mize, Will Hall, Tyler Stevens, Joey Shea, Caleb Richards, Bryson Faught, Ty Baker, McKenna Medley, and David Lamont Cox. Services were conducted Monday, March 14, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by Bro. George Dye. Burial was in the Versailles Cemetery. Casket bearers were Will Hall, Gage Mize, Roland Evans, Calvin Johnson, Frank Evans, and Jody Shea. Honorary bearers were Joey Shea and Tyler Stevens. Guestbook at www.BlackburnandWard.com.
