Billy Ray Thompson, 84, of Frankfort, died Friday, March 25, 2016. Born Dec. 25, 1931, in Woodford County, he was the son of the late Claude Thompson and Dorothy Drury Thompson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a farmer. Survivors include four daughters, Sandy Howard, Louisiana, Paula Thompson-Haeberlin (Jeremy), Lawrenceburg, Lisa Thompson, Frankfort, and Pam Thompson, Lawrenceburg; two sons, Michael Thompson, Lawrenceburg, and Brian Thompson (Jill), Michigan; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Four siblings, Lawrence Thompson, Wesley Thompson, Ann King, and Anita Maroney, are deceased. Services were conducted Wednesday, March 30, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers were Josh Thompson, Michael Thompson, Nick Thompson, Zach Thompson, Devin Casey, Dylan Bast, Michael Bast, and Adam Thompson. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
