Layne

Reece Layne, 85, of Versailles, widower of Eunice Harrington Layne, died Saturday, April 9, 2016. Born Nov. 21, 1930, in Wolfe County, he was the son of the late Abe Layne and Effie Culberson Layne. He was a horseman for Bonnie Brae Farm. Survivors include a daughter, Diana Layne, Versailles. A daughter, Karen Spencer, is deceased. Services will be conducted at 12 p.m. today, Thursday, April 14, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, by the Rev. Dale Clark. Burial will follow in the Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
