Police Reports Versailles police responded to two injury accidents, 25 non-injury wrecks, three domestic-related complaints, issued two citations and made 11 arrests. On April 7 at 7:08 a.m., a Dodge Dakota driven by Robert S. Jones, 23, of Frankfort, and a Toyota Camry driven by Amanda L. Rucker, 38, also of Frankfort, were traveling on Lexington Road in the left lane. Jones's vehicle rear-ended Rucker's. Jones told police he looked down and when he looked back up, it was too late to avoid the crash. Rucker was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. Police say distraction, inattention and not being under proper control on the part of Jones were factors in the crash. On April 14 at 7:32 a.m., a Ford Escape driven by Michael D. Smallwood, 34, of Danville, was trying to exit the Blue Grass Parkway and head north on Troy Pike. Police say Smallwood didn't see a Toyota Camry driven by Monica L. Hawkins, 38, of Lawrenceburg, that was southbound on Troy Pike. Smallwood's vehicle struck Hawkins's, causing severe damage to both. Hawkins was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. Police say inattention on the part of Smallwood was a factor in the crash. On April 12, a purse, handbag or wallet and car keys worth a total of $215 were reported stolen from a home on Simmons Street. On April 11, police made an arrest on Macey Avenue involving public intoxication (controlled substance) and illegal possession of a legend drug. On April 12, tools worth $930 were reported stolen from a vehicle on Simmons Street. On April 11, a person reported the theft of between $20 and $50 at Kroger. On April 11, an arrest was made on Clifton Road involving the violation of a Kentucky EPO, resisting arrest and menacing. On April 13, police made an arrest on Main Street involving alcohol intoxication in a public place. On April 12, a citation was issued on the Blue Grass Parkway involving obstructed vision, no operator's/moped license and the possession or use of a police scanner. On April 13, a Coach wallet and contents worth a total of $100 were reported stolen at Kroger. On April 7, a Saturn worth $499 was reported stolen from a home on Gastineau Lane. On April 13, harassing communications were reported on Gaybourne Way. On April 13, a Chrysler Town and Country was reported vandalized on Simmons Street, with no damage estimate provided. On April 14, police made an arrest on Troy Pike involving DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
