Minnie Lee Cloyd, 103, of Junction City, widow of Julian Cloyd, died Monday, May 2, 2016, at her home. Born March 12, 1913, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mollie Lamb Doss. As a young girl, she attended a one room school in Mitchellsburg, attended Mitchellsburg Baptist Church, was a homemaker, and worked various jobs at Palm Beach and Jackson Chair factories in Danville, the Jonathon Logan factory in Mercer County, and Frye's Seat Cover factory in Junction City. Survivors include a son, Phillip Cloyd (Doris), Versailles; a brother, Vincent Doss, Illinois; a sister, Ima Jean McKinstry, Jeffersontown; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Three sons, Donald, Morris, and Arthur Cloyd; a daughter, Lois Jean Cloyd; a granddaughter, Phyllis Jean Peterson; six brothers, Langford, Matthew, Wilson, Clarence, Forest, and Ernest Cloyd; and four sisters, Ida Solas, Ella James, Edna Edwards, and LaVonne Clark, are deceased. Services were conducted Wednesday, May 4, at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home, Danville, by Bro. Harley Humfleet. Burial was in the Junction City Cemetery. Casket bearers were Kevin Cloyd, Robbie Lamb, Ethan Lamb, Roger Cloyd, Roger Freeman, Steve Curry, Clarence Miracle, and Shane Cloyd.
