Ruby Imogene Roberts Antrobus, 85, of Versailles, widow of Alvie Lee Antrobus, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington. Born Sept. 5, 1930, in Stanton, she was the daughter of the late James Madison Roberts and Myrtle Rebecca Marcum Roberts. She was a member of the Clear Creek Baptist Church in Versailles and the Woodford County Homemakers. She and her husband were known for their gardens and participated in the Woodford County Farmers’ Market. A recipient of the Gardener of the Year award in Woodford County, she also enjoyed quilting and formerly operated a ceramics shop. After moving to Lawrenceburg, she attended the Anderson County Senior Citizens. Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte (Dr. Howard) Beauman, Frankfort, and Becky (Don Clark) Lane, Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren, Bryan (Candy) Beauman, Brent (Sarah) Beauman, and Ashlee (Loren) Wells; six great-grandchildren; and five siblings. A daughter, Carla Sue Antrobus, and seven siblings are deceased. Services were conducted Saturday, May 7, at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg, by her son-in-law, Dr. Howard Beauman. Graveside services were conducted Monday, May 9, at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County. Casket bearers were family members. Memorials are suggested to Cowboy Up for a Cure, P.O.
