Ladies Day Golf Results at MHGC

The 2016 Ladies’ Day Golf season at Moss Hill Golf Course has gotten underway, and the women have been enjoying play the last three weeks. This past Tuesday, May 16, was a very rainy day. However, some women were able to get out on the course to complete play in the 9-hole competition. In the Low Gross event, Teresa Vance shot a 51 to get the win, while Sheri Gould shot a 29 to win the Low Net event. Vance also won the Fewest Putts competition with 13 putts on the day. She also won the Special. On Tuesday, May 10, in the 18-hole competition, Melinda Hendricks won the Low Gross event with a score of 89, while Mary K. Woodrum won the Low Net competition with a score of 83 and the Fewest Putts competition with 30 putts on the day. Gloria Ramsey won the Special. In 9-hole competition, Lyndsay Vance won the Low Gross event with a score of 45 and Cookie Eaves won the Low Net event with a score of 47. In addition, Vance and Eaves tied in the Fewest Putts, as both had 19 putts on the day. Eaves also won the Special. Then on opening day of Ladies Day golf on Tuesday, May 3, in the 18-hole competition, Hendricks won the Low Gross event with a score of 89, while Mary Lee Gillis won the Low Net event with a score of 75. Shanny Spalding scored a win in the Fewest Putts event with 28 putts on the day. She also won the Special. In 9-hole competition, Chris Franklin won the Low Gross event with a score of 39 an Sheri Gould won the Low Net event with a score of 36. There was a three-way tie in the Fewest Putts competition, as Vickie Marshal, Robin Brockman and Franklin all had 15 putts on the day. Franklin also won the Special. Ladies’ Day Golf is played every Tuesday through Sept. 27. Those who are interested in playing, or would like information, may call 873-8122.
