Local resident has 'great time' at 'Price Is Right'

Debra Miller, who lives in Versailles, started watching “The Price Is Right” with her grandmother when she was a little girl. On Feb. 29, Miller and a group of friends traveled to Burbank, Calif., so they could see the game show in person. “We had a great time,” said Miller. She and her friends – all flight attendants with Southwest Airlines (joined by a nanny named Lori Ramsey) – decorated shirts for the occasion, which began in a long line outside the game show’s Burbank studio at about 7:30 that morning. Miller and her friends did not get into the morning show’s audience, but they got to see that day’s afternoon show. “And that’s about all I can tell you,” said Miller with a laugh. Viewers in Woodford County and elsewhere will have to wait until tomorrow (Friday) morning to see if Miller or any of her friends were told to “Come on Down.” “The Price Is Right,” hosted by Drew Carey, airs locally at 11 a.m. on WKYT-TV Channel 27. When asked about being in “The Price Is Right” studio, Miller said, “It’s much smaller and it’s much more exciting than it looks like on the (television) show. “The people that work there are amazing, amazing. It’s a lot of fun.”
