More Than A Bakery acquires Big Sink site for $3.1 million

More Than A Bakery has purchased 113.658 acres on Big Sink Pike from Camco Properties, LLC, (Tim Cambron, member), for $3.1 million, according to a deed filed in the Woodford County Clerk's office on May 18. More Than A Bakery will break ground at its new home in July, Versailles Mayor Brian Traugott told Woodford County Board of Education members on May 16. He said More Than A Bakery will employ 300 workers after the first phase of construction. A final development plan for More Than A Bakery's 228,500 square-foot manufacturing facility at 260-910 Big Sink Pike was approved by the Planning Commission on May 12. In a couple of years, a 230,000 square-foot expansion will increase the number of employees working a More Than A Bakery to 500 "and that includes many white collar positions," Traugott told school board members on May 16. More Than A Bakery will make crackers and other snack-type items at its Versailles manufacturing facility.
