Russell T. Shipp, 84, of Midway, died Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Mt. Washington Care Center, Anderson, Ohio. He was the son of the late John and Lou Wash Shipp and a member of the Rails to Trails of the Withlacoochee, the American Legion and the VFW. Survivors include a son, Steven (Mary Thompson) Shipp; a daughter, Leah (Jamie) Hazenfield; four grandchildren, Sarah (Josh) Ison, Chynna, Jamie and Amber; a great-granddaughter, Thea Ison; a sister, Mary Lou Shipp Wells; a brother, David Shipp; and numerous nieces and nephews. Two brothers, John Van de Graff Shipp and Benjamin Shipp, are deceased. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Charles H. McIntyre Funeral Home, Felicity, Ohio, is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at the Lexington Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Rails to Trails of the Withlacoochee, Inc., PO Box 807, Inverness, Florida 34451-0807.
