Carl Lee Thompson, 89, of Frankfort, widower of Virginia Brown Thompson, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Born May 8, 1927, in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Luther M. Thompson and Lorrine Berry Thompson. He was a member of Capital City Christian Church, and was retired from Brock-McVey. Survivors include a niece, Kathy (Grant) Mathes; many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and extended family members Patricia (Joe) Pinczewski-Lee and Heather (Charles) Arvin. Services were conducted Monday, June 6, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers were David Tincher, Larry Tincher, Grant Mathes, Bob Coutts, John Small, and Mark Johnson. Honorary bearers were members of the Rise & Shine Sunday school class at Capital City Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Shchem Ministries, 1587 Fairview Rd. Lawrenceburg, KY 40342, or Capital City Christian Church.
