Roy Lee "Catfish" Clark, 75, of Versailles, husband of Barbara Doolin Clark, died Saturday, June 11, 2016. Born Sept. 24, 1940, in Georgetown, he was the son of the late William Clark and Mary Catherine Crutchfield Clark. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. He was retired from Kuhlman Electric and was a Woodford County volunteer firefighter for 20 years. After retirement, he was a courier of medicine for Hospice patients for many years in Fayette County and Jessamine County. In addition to his wife of 48 years, he is survived by a sister, Clara (Howard) Peyton, Owensboro; two brothers, Joseph Andrew (Judy) Clark, Versailles, and Bobby Clark, Lexington; and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, James Olsen Clark and Earl Thomas Clark, are deceased. A memorial service will be conducted at 12 p.m. Friday, June 17, at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church by the Rev. Todd Lester. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the start of service Friday at the church. Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woodford Humane Society.
