Hudson
Roy Clay Hudson, Jr., 57, of Lexington, died Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Clark County Regional Medical Center in Winchester. Born March 26, 1959, in Mt. Sterling, he was the son of Roy Sr. and Betty Carpenter Hudson. He was a self-employed horse trainer, a past member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Midway, and a graduate from Woodford County High School. He enjoyed spending time at the race track and being around horses, but most of all, taking care of people and his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and camping, and he was also a fan of UK basketball and drag racing. Survivors include a son, Jason Hudson (Brittany), Lexington; two daughters, Heather Hudson-Adkins and Jillian Ashcraft (Edward Barko), both of Lexington; his father, Roy Hudson Sr., Owenton; and six grandchildren, Taylor Adkins, Tim Adkins, Conner Claypool, Seth Hall, and Austin Hall, all of Lexington, and Braiden Bailey, Richmond. Family services were private. Coffman Funeral Home & Crematory, Mt. Sterling, was in charge of arrangements.
