Gloria "Jo" Baldwin Rawlings, 91, of Midway, widow of Travis Dean Rawlings, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at her home. Born in Visalia, in Kenton County, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Lula Moore Baldwin. A retired librarian for the Kentucky Department of Libraries, she earned a master's in library science from the University of Kentucky and was a member of the Midway Christian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Julia (Doug) Watson, Midway, and Jane (Bob) Perry, Cary, North Carolina; two sons, Greg (Mary Somerville) Rawlings and Paul (Mary Ann) Rawlings, both of Midway; two sisters, Blanche Dryden and Vera Baldwin, both of Visalia; and seven grandchildren. Three brothers, Lloyd, Logan, and Robert Baldwin, are deceased. Services were conducted Saturday, June 11, at Midway Christian Church by the Rev. Heather McColl. Burial was in the Midway Cemetery. Her grandchildren served as casket bearers. Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodford County Public Library, Midway Branch, 115 N Main St., Versailles KY 40383.
