Marvin R. Shepherd, 66, of Versailles, husband of Connie Shepherd, died Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Bluegrass Community Hospital. Born in Humbolt, Tenn., he was the son of the late Aubrey and Robbie Lyons Shepherd. Also known as "Bubba," he was a retired electronic technician and L&N Glass employee, a member of the First Baptist Church of Versailles, and a former member of the Morningstar Baptist Church in Humbolt, Tenn. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jacquetta Shepherd, Versailles; a son, A'ton Shepherd, Versailles; two granddaughters, Jaylen Shepherd and Mikayla Campbell, both of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Larry Shepherd and Jimmy Shepherd, are deceased. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. at the church by the Rev. Floyd Greene. Burial will follow in Steele Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jason Higgins, Quinn Shepherd, Lee Atkins, Jeffery Higgins, Charles Bradshaw, Stephen Reed, and Joseph Cushingberry.
