Jerry Farler, 66, of Midway, widower of Argetha Gordon Farler, died Friday, July 15, 2016, at his residence. Born June 8, 1950, in Hazard, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Constance Caudill Farler. He was a retired horseman with Margaux Creekside Farm. Survivors include a daughter, Pauline Farler (Melissa Camidge), Midway; two sons, Jerry D. (Linda) Farler and Johnny D. Farler, both of Midway; three sisters, Pauline Brown, Cumberland, Dorothy Crawford, Nicholasville, and Linda Kay Farler, Frankfort; four brothers, Corbett (Janice) Farler, Frankfort, Larry Farler, Nicholasville, Felix (Eva) Farler, Frankfort, and Douglas (Lizzie) Farler, Lawrenceburg; six grandchildren, Alanna Simpson, Casey Wilson, Jerry Farler II, Jonna Farler, Chelsea Hollister, and Zack Hollister; and two great-grandchildren, Zaiden Smith and Averie Wilson. A sister, Chelsea Farler, and five brothers, James, Odell, Johnny, Jim and Randy Farler, are deceased. Services were conducted Tuesday, July 19, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by Dr. Edgar Wallace. Burial was in the Midway Cemetery.
