Police Reports Versailles police responded to three injury accidents, 20 non-injury wrecks, one domestic-related complaint and made seven arrests. On July 7 at 8:07 a.m., Sam Johnson, 57, of Frankfort, was riding on McCracken Pike on his Harley-Davidson FLH when he lost control in a curve on wet pavement and laid down the bike, which slid off the road and struck a plank fence. He was taken to Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Police say the bike was not under proper control. On July 9 at 2:10 p.m., Traci A. Huffman, of Lexington, was crossing North Main Street from Court Street. She was struck by a GMC truck driven at a low speed by Larry J. Redding, 68, of 117 Elm Street, that was turning left from Court Street onto North Main Street with the light. Huffman was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. On July 12 at 3:24 p.m., a Mercedez-Benz 240C driven by Kimberly N. Galloway, 35, of Frankfort, was stopped at the stop sign on Kroger Way, waiting to turn right onto Lexington Road. Galloway's vehicle was rear-ended by a Toyota 4Runner driven by Chelsea B. Kolman, 21, of 2090 Carpenter Pike. Kolman said she had her foot on the brake and didn't know why she struck Galloway's vehicle. Police say inattention on the part of Kolman was a factor in the crash. Woodford County EMS personnel responded to the accident, but no one was taken to a hospital. On July 14, a purse and necklace worth $441 were reported stolen from a vehicle in a Church Street parking lot. On July 16, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on Woodlake Road. On July 17, golf clubs and a GPS worth a total of $140 were reported stolen from a home on Tecumseh Trail. On July 13, police made an arrest on North Main Street for possession of drug paraphernalia and operating on a suspended license. On July 14, police made an arrest on Paddock Drive for disorderly conduct, harassment and terroristic threatening. On July 11, police made an arrest on Linden Circle for criminal mischief involving $1,500 in damage to a Volvo S60, wanton endangerment and identity theft. On July 12, police made an arrest on Princess Circle for reckless driving, no operator's/moped license and no registration plates. On July 13, $2,043.86 in cash was reported stolen from a Lexington Road convenience store. On July 13, $708.87 in fraudulent use of a credit card was reported on Rose Hill Avenue. On July 12, a mailbox on Scarborough Drive was vandalized, with damage estimated at $100. On July 12, police made an arrest on Duell Drive for public intoxication (controlled substance), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine. On July 13, police made an arrest on Leestown Pike in Midway for receiving stolen property (under $10,000). On July 12, wanton endangerment and criminal mischief involving $250 worth of damage to a Jeep Commander were reported on Pisgah Pike. Firefighters responded to a vehicle accident on Amsden Avenue June 14. A smoke odor was investigated on Macey Avenue June 14. An oil spill was cleaned on Morgan Street at Locust Street June 14.
