McCall

Victor Kenneth McCall, 81, of Shelbyville, husband of Mildred M. McAllister McCall, died Monday, July 18, 2016, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville. Born in Woodford County, he was the son of the late Clayton and Lou Rhett Willoughby McCall. He was a Baptist, and he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He began his career at the Mission Linen Company in Santa Rosa, Calif., ultimately retiring as the laundry supervisor at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville. An animal enthusiast, he was also a farmer. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Karen Riley, Shelbyville; a brother, Dan L. McCall, Shelbyville; three grandchildren, Justin Puckett, Zachary Puckett, and Sophia Shaw; and three great-grandchildren, Ashton Puckett, Mason Shaw, and Victoria Shaw. A son, Danny Craig McCall, a daughter, Vicki Lynn McCall, two sisters, Laura Tillett and Bernice Martin, and a brother, Roy McCall, are deceased. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville by the Rev. Jesse Baxter. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Disabled American Veterans.
