Local woman dies in traffic accident

A 58-year-old Woodford County woman was killed in an Aug. 17 auto accident on McCowans Ferry Road. Versailles police say Theresa L. Lake, 58, of 1105 Oregon Road, was southbound in an Infiniti G35 when she entered a left hand curve, and her vehicle ran off the right side of the road, struck a rock wall and overturned. Lake was pronounced dead at the scene by the Woodford County Coroner's office. Police say an unspecified medical condition was likely a contributing factor in the crash.
