Drinking alcohol in a public place – Robert Richard, 272 Church Street, combined with alcohol intoxication in a public place (two counts) and operating a non-motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants, $243 plus time served with credit. Police Reports Versailles police responded to three injury accidents, 12 non-injury accidents and made three arrests. On Aug. 25 at 9:42 p.m., a Mazda 6 driven by Jason Hammonds, 18, of 6121 Delaney Ferry Extension, was making a left turn from Troy Pike onto Scotts Ferry Road and pulled in front of a Honda Accord driven by Jeanie Allan, 68, of 3141 Fords Mill Road. The Honda struck the side of the Mazda, then hit a rock wall on the left side of the road. Allan was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. On Aug. 26 at 7:20 p.m., a Nissan Altima driven by Jose S. Estrada-Vazquez, 31, of 131 Frankfort Street, was stopped in the right lane on the U.S. 60 Bypass at a red light at the Big Sink Road intersection. A Scion FR-S driven by John W. Prince, 53, of Lexington, was driving in the right lane of the bypass. Prince told police he looked down for his sunglasses, looked up, and his vehicle struck the Altima. Estrada-Vazquez was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital. Police say distraction and inattention on the part of Prince were factors in the crash. On Aug. 30 at 6:20 p.m., a Mitsubishi Endeavor driven by Johnathan R. Haynes, 18, of Lexington, was traveling on Lexington Road from Kroger Way to McDavid Drive while a Chevy Equinox driven by Jacqueline F. Carter, 64, of 407 Sweet Bay Court, was outbound on Lexington Road. Haynes told police he looked both ways before entering the intersection and again while stopped in the median. Haynes continued across Lexington Road and was struck by Carter’s vehicle at the intersection of Lexington Road and McDavid Drive. A witness said Haynes pulled in front of Carter. Carter was treated at the scene by Woodford County EMS workers, but refused transport to a hospital. Police say failure to yield and inattention by Haynes were factors in the crash. On Aug. 12, a report of menacing, terroristic threatening and impersonating a police officer was made on Troy Pike. On Aug. 22, a trailer and two locks worth a total of $70 were reported stolen from a field near the Versailles United Methodist Church pavilion on Paynes Mill Road. On Aug. 29, a Galaxy cell phone worth $150 was reported stolen from a home on Cherry Hill Court. On Sept. 5 on the Blue Grass Parkway, a report was made of trafficking in marijuana, tampering with physical evidence and resisting arrest, with $1,832 in cash seized by police. On Sept. 5, police made an arrest on Leestown Pike for failure to/improper signal, failure to produce an insurance card, and possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. On Aug. 31, $200 in change was reported stolen from a home on Marcella Drive. On Aug. 30, a wallet containing a driver’s license, credit cards and $250 in cash was reported stolen from a store on Kroger Way. On Aug. 31, a counterfeit $20 bill was reported in a restaurant on Kroger Way. On Sept. 1, police made an arrest in the Versailles Municipal Building for criminal trespassing and second-degree disorderly conduct. On Sept. 1, harassing communications and harassment were reported at an Ashmore Drive home. On Sept. 2, a Ford Fusion on Powhatan Trail was reported vandalized, with damage estimated at $1,000. On Sept. 2, a vehicle on Adena Court was reported vandalized, with damage estimated at $150. On Sept. 3, harassing communications were reported on Chinoe Drive. On Sept. 4, a vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident on Old Frankfort Pike. Fire Reports City City fire reports were unavailable this week. County Firefighters assisted Woodford County EMS on Spring Station Road, on Laurel Way, and on Marsailles Road Aug. 31, on Pisgah Pike Sept. 1, on Moores Mill Road Sept. 2, and on Delaney Ferry Road Sept. 4. Firefighters responded to vehicle accidents on Tyrone Pike Aug. 31, and on Old Frankfort Pike and on Leestown Road Sept. 4. A vehicle fire was extinguished on Lexington Road Sept. 2. A sludge spill was cleaned on McCracken Pike Sept. 3. Smoke from burnt food activated an alarm at a Setti Place Road residence Sept. 4.
