Powell


Gregory Mark Powell, 59, of Versailles, husband of Elizabeth Tate, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016. Born May 13, 1957, in Harlan County, he was the son of Margaret Powell of Cambridge, Ohio, and the late Frank Powell. He was a retired mechanic for Tom and Gene's Ashland in Lexington, where he worked for 25 years. In addition to his wife of 20 years, he is survived by a daughter, Crystal (Steven) Barry, Lexington; a brother, Tim (Wendy) Powell; three nephews, Jordan, Jamie and Roby, all of Cambridge, Ohio; and numerous cousins and other family members throughout Kentucky and surrounding states. A celebration of life ceremony will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Nazarene Church in Midway. Everyone is welcome to come and share pictures or stories.
