Dr. Aly Lasheen, of Lexington, died peacefully at his home on September 23,2016, at the age of nearly 97, with his loving wife, Fifoushka, by his side. He will be profoundly missed by his three children, Aida, David, and Joe; his son-in-law, Dale Bredesen; and his daughter-in-law, Cheryl Lasheen, both whom he loved as his own. His grandchildren, Tara and Tess Bredesen and Olivia and Andrew Lasheen, were a source of pure joy to him. He also was a tribute to this world, as he dedicated his career working with the State Department and the University of Kentucky through Agricultural Extension to improve the lives and standard of education of developing countries.
