Leslie, 48, of Nicholasville, was outbound on Pinckard Pike while an International Straight Truck driven by John McNece, 37, of 106 Dan Drive, was inbound. Police say both drivers attempted to move as far to the right as possible while passing, but struck mirrors. Police did not determine fault in the case, but say each driver misjudged clearance. One or both drivers were treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel. On Sept. 25 at 10 a.m., Kieth A. Hersh, 36, of New Albany, Ind., was attempting a u-turn on his Yamaha FJ-1300 at the intersection of Midway Road and Leestown Road. Police say he didn't notice a Wabash van eastbound on Leestown Road that was driven by Robert B. Sallee, 52, of Harrodsburg. Sallee steered his vehicle left to avoid a head-on collision, clipping Hersh, which caused Hersh's motorcycle to overturn on the right shoulder of the road. Hersh was taken to UK Chandler Hospital. Police say his inattention was a factor in the crash. On Sept. 26 at 4:46 p.m., a Dodge Caravan driven by Alan R. Greer, 36, of Louisville, attempted to pull out from Thornton's across both lanes of outbound traffic on Lexington Road. A witness said Greer's vehicle was struck by a Ford F-150 driven by Milton Zuniga, 35, of Lexington. After coming to a stop, the vehicles blocked both lanes of outbound traffic. Zuniga was taken to Bluegrass Community Hospital, as was a passenger, Horacio M. Bravo Asariegos, 19. Police say Zuniga didn't have a driver's license. Police say inattention on the part of Greer was a factor in the crash. On Sept. 27 at 7:40 a.m., a Toyota Corolla driven by Kimberly J. Eller, 16, was traveling on Shryocks Ferry Road when her vehicle ran off the right side of the road. She overcorrected and her vehicle struck a tree on the left shoulder. Ishmael's vehicle then struck a 2004 silver Hyundai passenger car operated by an unidentified male, who was travelling in the eastbound lane.
