Candidates' forum set for Oct. 20

The Midway Woman's Club and the Woodford County Chamber of Commerce will host a candidates' forum today, Thursday, Oct. 20, at Midway University for candidates for state Supreme Court judge, state representative (56 District), and U.S. representative (6th District). The official program will begin at 7 p.m. in the Duthie Auditorium inside the Anne Hart Raymond Building. All candidates are welcome to arrive and set up information tables in the lobby area of the building at 6 p.m. to greet guests arriving and talk with them individually. Candidates are welcome to stay after the event in the lobby area to speak with guests. State Supreme Court judge candidates Laurence VanMeter and Glen Acree; state representative candidates James Kay and Daniel Fister; and U.S. Representative candidate Nancy Joe Kemper have agreed to participate in the forum.
