James Scott "Jamie" Brooks, 51, of Versailles, a former corporate security incident commander for IMAC Security, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington. Born in Houston, Texas, he was the son of Barbara Brooks of Versailles and Phillip D. (Charlotte) Brooks of Helena, Mont. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Christopher Todd Ballenger-Brooks, Helena, Mont.; a sister, Dawn Brooks (Gary) Harlow, Versailles; and two nieces, Kristen and Kayla Harlow. A celebration of his life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the home of Gary and Dawn Harlow. Memorials are suggested to the VA Medical Center in Lexington.
